Wink News update!
I have uploaded to BETA folder New Kernel 6.6B to test

This kernel is mixed with SG2 tweaks and fixed code from my kernel 5.7!

Also i have reduced compression to help to run the kernel faster!
so it's now 2.3MB and was 1.6MB we have 5MB boot partition, so no problem to extend it to 4MB! i can do it, it's will be next test...

What needs to check!:

1)If boot
2)BT check
3)WIFI check
4)Performance check

I think i will remove 96 and 128 freq to reduce sod for people that use it,
it's not best to be used, phone is slow on wakeup and may stuck...

and i know that battery drain is the same as 245Mhz, so it's just not needed

In next BETA, i will remove.

Thumbs up new kernel
seems ok so far wifi bit slower than previous kernel as well as dow loading speed. camera good recorded 1min 5scs of video smooth and good as well no problems with playback. all apps working good. overall good but setcpu keeps reverting itself back to 96mhz for some strange reason on smartassv2 which i set it to and 245mhz. also keeps saying ondemand under where u set frequencies. which was same for previous kernel.

just a question amongst those looking to, or already having (partially) moved on...

I'm looking into moving to a new phone, either a new One X (seems really powerfull, but limited in storage and battery is built-in), or maybe a lot less expensive SGSII or htc Sensation... or any other device that might be interesting, so I'm all ears !!!

Anyone got some good tips as to which one might be most interesting ?

Thing I consider important being :

- it must be rootable (obviously !)

- microSD slot (me needs room )

- internal RAM (as not to need swap too much)

- internal storage (no need for sd-ext partition)

- replacable battery

- camera quality (I use the camera a lot to take pictures and find the HD2's to be quite good)

- xda development intensiveness (me wants loads of flashing to be possible !! )

The size of those devices I like, so I'm not looking for significantly smaller or bigger screens / devices.

As for now, depending on the price of course, which I'm waiting to get, I am most attracted to the SGSII (bigger internal storage and RAM). But I am lead to think the Sensation is of better (felt) quality...

The One X seems really powerfull, but limited in storage and battery is built-in... aaaaand it's quite expensive !

Any input is very welcome and apreciated, by PM possibly, since I don't want to clutter up this thread with this discussion any more than this post.

But I couldn't think of a better place to ask, since this thread is read by a bunch of people I consider to be just as flashaholic as I am

Thanx !!

PS: Dorimanx going towards the SGSII is obviously something I put into the decision making process, the device can't be bad if he's gone for it

----- Edit :

Just saw the htc Sensation XE may be interesting, too, microSD, swappable battery and higher resolution... Just a little less RAM 768 vs. 1 Gb for the SGSII...

Oops ... can't find anything about the XE on xda ?!

well im using the htc one x...very fast..the storage prob can be solved by a 25g dropbox account(comes with the phone)and the batt well:if i push the power button the phone will power off no matter what condition its in..
the xda thread is growing and a lot off great dev s are joining in..
best would be if dm came along with it,but im sure wll meet the xda community is a small one

I was reading about one of the kernel's for my TF101 (Asus Transformer tablet) using the Veno (instead of Reno i think it was) netcode, and someone said they had a kernel with it on their phone, and so far I have seen reports of increased throughput...

I wonder, is it possible here?

6.6B. seems to be really great.

Sound buzz sound is gone. Volume+ app works perfect.
No idea what you did but it solved this Bug.

Rest I will Test.

Thank you Dori.
