Default Battery: Galaxy Nexus GSM I9250 vs Tmobile GS2 (T989)

Can I use my Galaxy S2 battery on the GNexus GSM?
I'm asking because I have a spare OEM GS2 battery and I'm getting my little sister a GNexus GSM

Yeah, I just did a little research. It seems that the GSM Nexus and Verizon Nexus use different batteries. Too bad
