I've tested the nova hd rom and the aokp rom.
The nova rom was better than the aopk.

But the roms have no hw acceleration -> ics apps and cam are buggy

If cam isn't crucial to you, and you don't mind flashing an update occasionally, I say go for it. Owain's builds are released regularly, and if there are any issues, they get resolved fairly quickly (except hwa, don't ask for that).

Also don't forget to install V6 Supercharger to it, it made my phone run 1,5x times faster, so it really worth it.
