I'm not considering... it's a must for me to be rooted - but how?

I'm on .62 which was rooted by downgrading to .42, rooted with with the zergrush exploit and upgraded to .62 again.
Will I still be rooted after upgrading to ICS via PC Companion?

No, you have to root ICS with ZergRush again

Actually ICS *can* be rooted. Quite easily. Search and you shall find.
