But in the thread t0mm13b said hes using cm7s device/zte/blade tree in this and that all kernels compiled for the rom must be vmsplit3g isnt that enough for the kernel to work?Sorry for writing this in the cm7 thread..thanks

This is a boot.img, it contains the cm7 init ramdisk. You'd need to split ramdisks & mess about. The kernel itself should work, it's just the init scripts included with it are for CM7.

I just got it too, for the first time. I hardly even changed anything from the version I've been running fine on my phone for weeks too... no idea what's causing it.

Wifi seems a bit screwed too, randomly.

I expected to screw it up sooner or later with the number of patches I was adding, expected it to happen sooner really - it was just experimental to test out some patches that could eventually be added to CyanogenMod.

I'll do another version based on Tom G's & add a few patches from my old kernel to it (undervolting, gpu write-combining, updated ondemand cpufreq governor, no fsync, etc). I started work on it this morning just after I compiled mine.

It's not ready yet, but you can watch my progress here: https://github.com/John-Kenney/kerne...commits/2.6.35

Well, I fixed 2/3 of the bugs. Still can't disable wifi, but wifi stays on now (that was the old wifi driver i tried) & sleep of death (maybe wifi driver too, or a couple of small patches i reverted) should be fixed too... so this is my fixed up kernel.

source code - https://github.com/John-Kenney/zte-turies-35

Features over standard cm7 are: undervolting for wifi & cpu, fsync disabled, updated ondemand cpu governor with more responsive settings, a few other optimisations, new zte camera libs, everything that was in burstlam's kernel, cache on tmpfs & the can't disable wifi bug.
