I left the theme chooser preview unticked in the file upload tab, don't know if that makes a difference.

I agree with you. UOT kitchen works brilliantly. I've just changed my icons.

The only thing I did was that I extracted the SystemUI.apk from system/app and framework-res.apk from system/framework. Just simply extract from ROM zip.

I selected the icons that I wanted in UOTkitchen, then on the "File upload" tab I selected "Upload system files" and I selected the corresponding files that I extracted before.

You only need to upload those two files and you don't need "com.htc.resources.apk" and "twframework-res.apk".
This way it will work 100% Hope it helped

Is there any way to change the colour(to white) of the clock in the status bar? Or even get rid of it? It doesn't look right with the framework i'm using!

I'm trying this rom, coming from the cm7 version. Using the sd-ext setting, i can't install the same application with titanium bacause the free space is about 20-30mb less than the cm7 version. It's normal?

ignore that advice, either ext 3 or ext4 should work just fine if set up correctly, mine is ext4.

gparted or 4ext recovery are recommended to create the partitions.

ext4 should in theory be a little faster than ext3
