Default [Q] S-ON / S-OFF Recovery not possible / Update Legend to CyanogenMod7

Hi All,

I really hope you can help. I want to update my HTC Legend to CyanogenMod 7 and I tried many ways unfortunately without any success. :(

First I unlooked the Bootloader http://htcdev.com/bootloader. After that I tried many different ways described on different websites. Finally I found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1290841. Unfortunately both options doesn't work in my case.

S-ON ends with:

Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Veryfying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.

S-OFF ends with:

sending 'recovery' <3136 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.426s]
writing 'recovery'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature veryfy fail)
finished. total time: 1.071s

Some facts on my HTC Legend. It's a Vodafone branded device for Germany. Below the data the device is showing when I press "Volume down" during the boot process.

*** LOCKED (OOW) ***
LEGEND PUT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-1.02.0000
MICROP-0816

You have to unlock your bootloader as you can see in your post you are boot 1.02 but it says locked you need to continue the steps provided at htcdev.

And when you unlock the bootloader you must do the s-off clockworkmod recovery method.

Gosh... I'm so stupid. Advantage for those who can read.
I completed the process provided on htcdev sucessfully and minutes later my Legend runs with CyanogenMod7. I never mind this would be so easy after working on this for 2 days. :)

Thanks ranger4740 for pointing out the right direction!
