JRummy is ultra responsive if you door him an email I was having similar issues in the past and did that and there was an update that shortly followed that fixed my issues...he will want you to send him a copy of your logcat

lol sorry Tom. Good advise on the nandroid though. Shoulda done that myself lol. I actually am using the bionic blue eye animation and its working fine now...it only acts up every now and then.

Thanks man...will have to see if he can do somthing. Noob question (even though I'm not too noobish anymore) whats a logcat?

Why don't you just use root tools to change boot animations?
Safer than tool box imho

Also, you can just search for compatible boot animation zips and just push then into system/media and there is also a location in data/local that will work as well, when you put it at the data location if you delete it you will still have the original boot animation, if you put it in system/media and don't back up the original you will need to pull the original from the ROM zip to get it back.

I remember going through 7 different boot animations in one day using toolbox while on the last version of liberty. Don't know why it would act up like that.

My guess is because ROM toolbox looks like it was MADE for the liberty ROM. It might just not sit right with CM7.

I used it awhile back on my X2 and had no problem whatsoever. Iv'e even used it on my G-nex here recently a couple times and had no problem with it either.
