Yeah, finally bought an Apple Ethernet adapter clone for cheap on eBay and it works perfectly well on stock Asus ICS.

Just wonder if other branded ROM such as with Acer A500 they made the same clever UI system showing up only when the Ethernet adapter is detected.

Is it specific to ASUS or is now common to all ICS tablets ??? ^^

Could this be ported to other devices that are also on ICS with usb host?

As long as USB Host is correctly addressed and you have a kernel source code compatible with ICS, there is no reason it shouldn't work.

In fact the drivers by themselves should work with any Android and kernel version since you stick with stock Linux kernel USB to Ethernet drivers...

Got them worked since Eclair-x86 & Froyo-x86 builds, but I have no idea if there are working with Galaxy Tab P1000 as I'm still unsure if the USB OTG drivers are working or not with GT P1000 custom ROMs... ^^

been trying to get a usb to rj45 adapter to work on my Sony tab s when I stumbled across this thread. is there actually anyway to get this to work on the tab s? or is it more an eee pad thing and if someone has got the package working on the tab s how did they manage to do it?

You won't get it work on Sony Tab S if you use the binary drivers pack since you have exactly the same kernel version... ^^

Otherwise ask your devs community to recompile it against the kernel you have !

Dear MarkLuk,

would you be so kind to compile driver for QF9700-based cards for ICS? I use Transformer Prime, it supports Ethernet cards but it doesn't contain driver for QF9700. When I tried to insmod driver for Honeycomb I got messages "version magic '2.6.36.3 SMP preempt mod_unload ARMv7' should be '2.6.39.4 SMP preempt mod_unload ARMv7'" and "Unknown symbol __bad_udelay".

Installing ZIP without Recovery

Hi'm i'm looking to install the drivers on my AndyPad running ICS, but there is no recovery option. The system is rooted. Is there a way of turning the ZIP into an APK to be able to install them?
