Enjoy the smoothest O2X kernel ever made (guestekrnL v1.6.2-Test1) - dedicated to Flix123
This is a testing release! If feedback is good, it will become final release, else I will have to do more work.

Changelog:

  • C'mon I could write a fancy changelog with many expressions you don't know so it becomes more interesting OR I just could tell you you will experience smoothness never seen before :) I prefer the second way
  • Second Core OC scaling bug fixed by me (first fixed kernel available)

Download: http://www64.zippyshare.com/v/15884382/file.html

Important: Second core behavior simulates the one of Stock kernel. For better power consumption during use you can p.ex. increase activation time and decrease deactivation time. You have to play around yourself.

Most important: FEEDBACK!!

Nice version!!!
I install it and test in GTA III game, very smooth!!!

I find that GuesteOC tool version is still on 203, but 203 has one bug that can't save "Max screen off frequency" value.
And version 204 solve this problem.

I think this version can be final release!!

Too lazy to put some appropriate trollface image... above.

But I have to admit this kernel is a bit faster than latest Spica V12. Considering even the 200MHz+ overhead, that OC allows for now. Antutu shows that. But both kernels are good now.

BTW, any plans to rise the OC bar? My device feels fine at 1.4Ghz. When Watching poorly encoded videos it really helps...

I've attached antutu. First for HPpreSR4v12 second for Guestev1.6.2-Test1

The frequency now is saved, but it looks like max screen off frequency is not working.

Edit: it was guesteOC bug. Installing 2.04 (link some posts above) solves the problem.

You compare Antutu scores of spica kernel running @ 1,4 GHz with mine running @ 1,2 GHz and then additionally the scores @ 1,2 GHz are 350 points higher than spica kernel @ 1,4 GHz ?? LOL seems like something is seriously wrong with the HP release you are using

By the way best smoothness of kernel can be achieved using GoodBye ROM v1.1 (smooth scrolling minimalist edition) plus this kernel. I Hope I will have time to release an updated GoodBye ROM soon, as 1.1 is quite old already

Concerning OC up to 1,4 Ghz: Now that I fixed the OC scaling bug, this will of course be possible. In the final release

Ah okay yes sorry I accidentally didn't put the latest GuesteOC in the kernel ZIP. Will be there in final

I forgot to add. That I set freqs for second core in manner that both cores are always running at slightest load using trym's OC app for better score and more objective comparsment. Due to differences in stock core ramping between kernels.

Yeah I know how to attain more. But for this test both environments were same fresh installed DM 1.3Beta.

The next thing... I could also put up quadrant score, there the 200Mhz gain gives the lead to spica. Quadrant is way to unstable for benches anyways...
But for now perfomance crown is yours, let us see about power department in the morning. And thanks for your work Stefan, and Spica too... competition is always welcome.
