vertig;25182412I said:chose option 2 to install root and it worked. Then I selected the option to install FireFireFire and my KF rebooted to the fire caution sign, which it is stuck at, and KFU script is <waiting for device>
So long as you haven't messed with your drivers up to that point, Do This exactly:
1. Unplug Kindle
2. Turn off kindle (Hold Power button for 20-25 seconds until it shuts off)
3. run KFU
4. Choose 1 (Bootmode Menu)
5. Choose 1 (Normal)
6. Once KFU displays < Waiting for device > Plug up kindle
Pray. That should turn on the kindle, set the kindle to normal and then reboot it normally.
Let us know how it goes.
At any point did you do anything to the drivers, such as force installing them, after you got twrp installed? When I checked Device Manager after sticking on FFF, I noticed my KF was showing as 'kindle' with an exclamation, so I was thinking because of the bootmode change, my drivers pooped out, which is very sad.
Plug up the kindle, Right click the Kindle! in device manager and choose Uninstall. If you see an option to (delete the driver software for this device) check that and click ok. Reboot your pc. Run the driver installation bat. and then proceed to 1. unplug the kindle and continue from there.
