BTW ... i tried 4 kernels so far... speedmod (latest k3-12) rocks, very great kernel for me as an end user... siyah is great also but with less battery life (i applied dual boot and it worked great)

Yeah I get the right versions and all of them fails. I even tried the orginal kernel that comes with Wanamlite ROM and it fails too...
So far I stay with Siyah as I have no other choice and if I get pissed off more I just try to reflash whole rom to get rid of it and come back to stock kernel. Maybe then I will be abale to flash other kernels.

what I personally do

factory reset.
flash GS2BlitzerV1.6 (or GS2WiperV1.4 if you flash only kernel but its not this case) from http://androidforums.com/galaxy-s2-i...g-scripts.html
format data
format system
wipe battery stat
then flash your new rom
wipe again (first time its done by GS2BlitzerV1.6) cache and dalvik
restart
and pray for the best while systems builds up...

I would also strongly recommend flashing kernel cleaning script as advised before the rom...

I also hope you did at least wipe dalvik and cache and factory reset before flashing 11.1 on the top?! Not sure if it is needed but will not hurt as it would make it fresh install...

Because a lot (probably most) of users prefer to use the device and its features instead of just one,..... an alarm clock. The primary purpose is a communications device, so we leave it at that.

Edit: forgot to add its fun trying out the many features available that stock is missing, feedback helps the dev too. After all, this is XDA Developers?

Yep, idle is very good and no problems using same config used with rc6. To early for other opinions yet, as not tested all features.

Try stability test app on the market. Let it run approx 15 min on each of the options and see if toy get any errors. Tests both CPU and GPU. Yes this well drain battery heaps while testing, but will check if you will likely have any issues.
