Question [Q] Leaving screen on at night -- any reason not to?

This may seem a silly question, but what the heck.

I want to use my Prime as a nightstand clock. If I put the clock application into the "dark" mode, it properly doesn't turn off the screen -- seems perfect.

It dawned on me that it might be "bad" somehow for the hardware, or reduce the lifetime of the LCD. The clock app moves the time around the screen, so I'm not concerned with image retention... just wondering about any reasons why this is a dumb thing to do with an LCD -- or if I'm just being paranoid with my new toy, and it's completely fine.

Thoughts?

DONATE TO ME
i know when i leave my screen on any one image for an extended period of time i can see a faint image on my screen after i change it. (burn in) It goes away after a little bit but really i wouldnt suggest leaving your screen on for a clock, its not made for that.
If what I said was remotely helpful the thanks button is right there, only takes a second.
