They aren't AA batteries.

He's talking about the single Epic 4g Touch battery: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Epic-T...dp/B005LPETVK/

$18.90 ain't too cheap but worth it when you keep worrying about battery life. I went with the Anker batteries (2 are included) so my sister could have one but I'm wondering if the official Samsung 1800mah model is better quality.

I guess my usage would be considered heavy. Between 7am and 4pm I'm on airplane as my building gets zero reception and saps my battery searching for a signal. I might use my phone for 20min outside but that's about it. After work I tend to spend a lot of time on Tapatalk forums, facebook, angry birds, Monopoly, Words/Scramble WF and just dicking around with my screen on. Usually my battery life is solid (95%+) all day and then by 10/11pm it's around 30%, but then I have to charge it as it's my main alarm clock. So I don't get good opportunities to just let it die and fully charge, especially since the battery screen won't turn on while the phone is powered down and charging. I think that effects my calibration and whatnot.

<3

Pretty much ditto to this. I love these batteries.

I just got an official 1800, still burns thru fast, not nearly as bad. But I'm a heavy user out in the country with poor service.

I don't understand why the hell any of you guys are buying the official epic touch battery when for 5 bucks more you can get two batteries and a wall charger. a battery is a battery, they are 1800mAh and run fantastically and not one single person out of all the people I've recommended it to has been anything but completely satisfied with their purchase.

it's your money, waste it on what you want, I guess.

I forgot to add a boot audio mp3 to the system/media for mesmerize and showcase. So if you guys just rename any mp3 boot_audio.mp3 then you will get bout sounds and the option to turn them off.

not sure if this is related - or if anyone else is experiencing similar, but i tried to post a screenshot thru xda yesterday and i got errors telling me "wrong file type" and it refused to upload. i tried renaming it with jpg, jpeg, and png and it still wouldnt recognize it as a valid file.

A tweak to speed up picture processing perhaps?

Edit: This looks like a sweet tweak! It looks to improve jpeg compression by 80-120%!

Might be related to the amazon mp3 issue, but I'm getting odd reboots using handcent. Have had to go back 2x to clear cache and davlick before it will allow me to respond to messages.

It does not happen every time, after 3 or 4 messages it acts up, then will go longer without the problem, then act up again.

Has worked flawlessly before on all the other builds

Bingo.

and it effects everything from keyboards to gallery to taking pictures. Anything that need to process JPEGs.
