New Radio - 1.09.01.1111

Just got a new DI2 cause I left my old one in the car with the sunroof open the day before a huge rain storm. I'm sure you can figure out what happened.

Anyway, checked the stock settings and came across a new baseband version I have not seen yet - 1.09.01.1111.

Its been a while since I've messed with these, but where is the baseband located in the partition map...I can't remember.

I'll extract and post it if there is interest, just remind me how to get at it.

Go back a page to post 357 you can download it from there. I flashed the radio you have from that post last night.

Thanks! In my excitement of a new radio I forgot to search. Glad there is a zip of it already.

Just out of curiosity though, is it possible to extract the baseband from the phone? If so is there a procedure anywhere or which partition on the EMMC is it?

Thanks, Matt.

How is that one working?

From my Inc2 running Inc2 HD

I am using the latest now the 1.09.01.1111 and it seems fine. To be honest my DBM meter is about the same from the .622 I was on. Hard to say I get crappy reception at work and still do today with the new radio :( I was hoping this would help me out here at work. Besides I figured it would be nice to be on the latest as long as I had the .622 saved. I got the .622 and the .1111 from Post #357 Thanks again for posting! And just in case this is not flashed in recovery as you probably ahve read. I watched a you tube video about using the H boot and it was super easy. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM. I jsut read most of all this thread and then went on you tube. I copied it to my root of SD card and renamed it. Checked the MD5sum values and boot into bootloader. It will see the PG32IMG.zip and ask you if you would like to update and hit volume up to say yes. Then after you are done remove that PG32IMG.zip off the root of your sd card or else I read that it will keep trying to update it every time you go into bootloader.

Yeah I when I got mine a couple weeks ago it had the .622 as well. I flashed the .722 last week. On .722 my dbm is about the same but it does seem a little faster.

I'll say this, I'm never going back to a locked phone again.

+1 to that. If you have. 722 already try. 1111 you can always go back. I also downloaded. 722 just to have as safe keeping.

I haven't noticed any difference between the radios but I always installed the new one when it came out.

    Code:
/* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or the end of the world. Please do some research
     * if you have any concerns about flashing a radio before flashing it!
     * YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the
     * finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. */

    How to Flash:

In order for this to work, the HTC Incredible 2 needs to be S-OFF. Flashing the radio with a corrupt file or interrupting the flash, can brick the device, please proceed with caution.

    1. Download the your choice of radio for the HTC Incredible 2.
    2. Make sure the filename is PG32IMG.zip exactly or it will not work and copy it to the same folder as adb (the /platform-tools folder within the Android SDK folder).
    3. Connect the HTC Incredible 2 to the computer via USB.
    4. On the computer, open terminal and run the following commands:
      Code:
      adb push PG32IMG.zip /sdcard/PG32IMG.zip
      adb shell md5sum /sdcard/PG32IMG.zip
NOTE: The md5 should match up the provide the original download location. If not, redownload & try again.
      Code:
      adb reboot bootloader
    5. The HTC Incredible 2 will reboot & usually boot into fastboot. Pressing the Power button will put the device into the bootloader.
    6. The bootloader will scan for the radio update. Once it finds the update, select Yes.
    7. Allow the bootloader to finish flashing the updated radio, and reboot the HTC Incredible 2 normally.

All Verizon Wireless customers are discouraged from flashing anything OTHER than 'x.x.01.xxxx' radios, for stability reasons.

    Alright,
I pulled the radio.img and the android-info.txt out of the firmware update and zipped only those files back up to create our flashable PG32IMG.ZIP for you radio junkies. :silly:

I have already updated to this firmware so I have not tried this radio zip.

    Rename to PG32IMG.zip
Put in SD root and flash in bootloader.
    FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK

    http://www.mediafire.com/file/0hpyi140dpsn6zl/RADIO1.09.01.0320-PG32IMG.zip

Let me know how it works. :fingers-crossed:

Had to go find one of my posts on RootzWiki to remember the full radio version number haha. The RUU version can be found in the txt file in the zip.

From the 5.10.605.9 OTA: Radio Version 1.09.01.1111 (US Verizon)

Sent from my brain using human to phone transport technology.

    Champion mate, cheers.

Also, both radios confirmed working on GSM unlocked DInc2.

MD5 sums created, and OP updated to reflect changes.
