maximum battery life

Hi guys, just to gather some info about the battery life in differents roms and conditions.


I go firts.

phone: optimus 2x
rom: stock v20q
baseband: 1035.21_20110725
max battery life, full use (games, mail, wifi, gps): 3 hours
max battery life, normal use: 11 hours

phone: optimus 2x
rom: stock v20l
baseband: 1035.21_20110725
max battery life, normal use (currently) 18 hours
before flashing other roms it was about 1.5-2days
After flashing cm9 ics and changing ril it is 18hours :(

made some calls, 3g always on, no games played. listened music on max lvl about 1 h

CM9 owains latest kang with latest harsh kernel bb725 (v20q) ril 725 (v10d.)
everyday around 16 hours with wifi always on 3g always on and everything on sync.. up and around 4 hours of screen on time every day mostly checking forums reading news and Facebook / twitter etc

when I turn on juice defender I can last about 2 days with little use but all sync on 30 min intervals

really short - thats why I try other ROMs at the moment

rom: Rebuild of V20Q Gingerbread (by Flix123 LINK in XDA forums)
kernel: default LG with tweaks (?? as included in the ROM)
baseband: V20q Baseband (the one linked by FLix123 at his thread)

max battery life, full use (games, mail, wifi, gps): still testing

max battery life, normal use 2G: 104 hours !!!!

max battery life, normal use 3G: 47 hours


Normal usage for me means data always on, about 1 hour talking and 20-25 SMSs per day (while weather gadget, mail, FB, twitter always working/updating in the background and me checking them every 40-45 mins or so).

kernel : no idea standart no OC
euh i charge every night!
10h unplug then send sms's hole day
+ internet on Gsm/Umts + wifi on hole day normaly + push gmail (dont get any email on it) + hotmail push some emails a day + internet some times + screen on 25% + light gaming some thimes 15 min
i get i think 12h, at 0h00 and have some 10-20 % left if i dont play games!
but if i need long battery life i just disable internet put only gsm on! and i will last like 2days! only sms's no gaming (acualy doesnt help that much....)

cm7 tesmak 135 with symbiosis kernel
Got 1day and 11h. (Acualy first time i had more then a day. )
Screen euh dont know is wasen.t showing up but had simual a other time 1h30 screen.
Only 2g, data on, wifi 80% on. Not hole day.
Did watch youtube for some 10min i gues other use sms
For one time in was happy with battery.

(Btw why we have such bad battery? My friends galaxy s1 goes easyli 1day or 2days. and with more then 4h of screen use. stock custom rom)
So im prity jalous....

Very nice, I too have the feeling that the stock rom had the best battery life... Still checking out CM9 roms though and flash at least one rom/kernel a day at the moment so I guess my battery life isn't really reliable...
