HELP... Im trying to use the toolkit to get back to stock (steps 8, 10, 11) but when I try to do step 8, flash stock rom, I get a message saying that the rom was not found.
Make sure file extensions are enabled in Windows Explorer (control panel, folder options, view tab, untick 'hide extensions for known file types'. Then tell me the exact file name of the image you downloaded (from your windows explorer) and the folder you moved it to before selection option 8.
Also the stock image reflashes stock reecovery so you only need option 8 and then option 11 to relock the bootloader.
Its not your fault I think theres something going round today maybe its Monday Madness
Glad it all worked out.
Mark.
You have NO CLUE! I was getting so frustrated!! I'm actually editing my video on how to do it right now. I worked 10 hours of overtime yesterday, I WILL send a little something your way. This is awesome! You made a super simple easy way to root your phone!

The right side of the ToolKit tells you which mode your phone needs to be in for that function.
There are alot of other useful tools I added to the ToolKit including the backup/restore option for backing up your installed apps before flashing a new rom and make sure you look in the phone mods section

What, what? ok first let me state the obvious, as far as the Gnex goes im a noob, usually I research the ins & outs of a device before I get it, but I unexpectedly got this nexus & ill be the first to admit I dove in head first before doing alot of research & coming from the tbolt im like a deer in headlights right now..
Now onto my problems...the only things I ever downloaded was your toolkit & the drivers from PdaNet...what else do I need to download & where from to unroot this & get it back to stock.

Thanks again.
Every option in the ToolKit has very detailed explanation of what it does and lists anything you need to do. If you select option 8 and read the top part it asks you to goto https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images and download the latest image for your device. For Verizon LTE model you want mysid images and the latest is:
The text at the top also asks you to copy it to the put-google-factory-image-here folder in the ToolKit before carrying on with the procedure. After that you just sit back and let the ToolKit do everything else.
If you like it, please feel free to add it to the OP.
Very nice video I have added it to the first post
You have a VERY difficult way of rebooting to fastboot though lol. If you look in the ToolKit there is option 21 (reboot options). Option 3 in there will reboot your phone directly to Fastboot mode from Android as well as other options to get you into different screens from Fastboot and Adb Mode .
