Cheers for the quick reply
You can go to cwm and: delete cache and dalvik cache, data factory reset, format system, cache. Pull the battery and go in download mode and connect with odin and flash the rom. Gapps later in cwm after reboot.

Sorry you've lost me. I want to avoid wiping my phone, which I assumed the Odin install option gives me?

It's a shame I can't use Odin Mobile as the Resurrection file "cm-9-20120420-ODIN-galaxys2" is a tar.md5, which the app supports

You can use it to flash just fine.

I`am sorry, didn`t flash that file yet, but if it is a .tar file you should be able to flash it with mobile odin pro. I however am not 100 % sure. Why don`t you just flash a regular cm9 cwm rom. It`s not that hard, read the OP.

Really?! I've actually ended up more confused now than when I first asked the question lmao

So going back to my original question; if I do flash the Resurrection.tar.md5 via Odin Mobile Pro do I untick the Everoot option?
