Default Advent Vega not booting upon Vegacombe

My Advent vega will not boot up after upgrading to Vegacomb 8.1 or 9. I have tried this twice now with the same result.

When i put the Froyo back on I can power off then power back on no problem.

I want to upgrade the Advent to put the marketplace on, when i try to install the rom in Froyo i get an error symbol with the android icon, and an exclamation mark in a white triangle

Any help will be much appreciated

Hmm... nowadays there are a lot of posts here on XDA about users who can't boot into VegaComb anymore.
Did you try the Honey Ice ROM?

Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 Android OS v4.0.4 (AOSP):
ROM: Slim ICS v4.2
KERNEL: Semaphore ICS v1.3.0s
MODEM: I9000XXJW4

Point Of View Mobii 10.1" Tegra (3G) (Advent Vega clone) Android OS v4.1.2 (AOSP):
ROM: VegaBean Beta 6

If you already upgraded from stock to Vegacomb I don't see what is stopping you to upgrade to Honey Ice?
It can't hurt, just remember to carefully read the first post in Honey Ice thread on tabletforums and also check if users of Honey Ice have same problems like you had with Vegacomb because Honey Ice is based on Vegacomb (like it states in first sentence).
Good luck!

Do not give up! Just install the latest HoneyIce Chimera Edition (Updated) on it and it will work like a device costing twice as much.
You will first need to install Modded Stock 1.10 v2, run than, put it into CWM recovery, wipe Data, Cached, Dalvik, and then install Chimera.
If you do get problems after that, try flashing Modded Stock 1.10 v1 and then wiping and installing Chimera.

Don't give up!
Put it back to modded stock, then put vegaICS on it as found on here / tabletroms / modaco forums. I've been on it for a few weeks and it is brilliant!!!
For a beta1 its great. Had almost no issues other than the usual no wifi after sleep.
