For all the people who don't care about an unlocked bootloader, trust me, you WILL.

Losing 4G is no big deal now, 4G is a horrible stillborn technology.

LTE (at least the LTE I have used) is absolutely incredible.

My friend has a Nexus on unlimited data with Verizon LTE. Consistent amazing speeds. 20Mbs symmetrical most of the time. It's like having FIOS in the palm of your hand.

If Sprints implementation is close to Verizon's, this is literally a holy grail of mobile tech.

Of course this only matters if you want to flash roms. If you want to stick to Motoblur, you're ok.

Hello,
This is wonderful news. I really do think that the "Q" in the Name stands for Quad Core. Provided it works with my HD Dock, I am in. I hope it is styled more like the RAZR with Kevlar on the Back Cover and not a clone of the Atrix replacement. However, I am guessing it will be a dead ringer for the new Atrix.
Cheers,
JJ

sadly sprint lte is nothing of teh sort, 1900mhz ina 5x5 arrangement (dont ask me what it means i dont understand teh details just know thats what they are using ;P )

people with the galaxy nexus are reporting speeds of 13ish down and 2-3 up. you will have verizon comparable speeds with the 800mhz LTE, which isnt supposed to be out live until late next year... which of course will require a ne wphone... the following year lte-advance will arrive thus finally giving TRUE LTE speeds.... again needing yet another new phone to get the speeds :/

the irony of it all is from what ive seen is if you have wimax your going to get teh LTE fairly quickly (tampa area for me im looking around september this year) which means to go from the 6mbps i get now to lte's 12-13ish ill have to pick up a lte enabled phone. i wouldnt mind it so much if there was more info about how sprints lte radios drain battery etc... id rather stick with the "slow" 6 and have double the battery, just my 2 cents ;P

p.s. s4gru.com is where i found out all the info for lte and network vision, guys there live for this stuff.

if it had a non removable battery it would have to have a hard disconnec button somewhere for "pulling" the battery otherwise this could be a disaster for modders.

Why? How long do most people really keep these phones now a days? Not long enough to have the battery actually wear out. With the razr they included hardware key combo that resets the device, my Xoom has it too as does your laptop/netbook/desktop etc etc tis just something built into a lot of devices no one pays really attention to.

By having a removable battery you now have to make it a connector (usually metal pins) in an idiot package so no one chews on it and it has the model number etc all over it. As well as now you have to craft space for it around your motherboard and make a backing to the internal part so that idiots dont go scraping the board/screen. By having it non-removable you dont have to do all that, which means you can make it bigger.

The razr has a battery that is around the same size as ours, and im willing to bet that the bigger batteries got held up and thats why they sold the razr (they couldnt waste that 11/11/11 opportunity). When the dust had settled they could make the razr maxx with the same specs and size and shape just now with a battery almost double in size.

Non removable battery is a deal killer for me too.

I have spare batteries I can slap in.

I can't count the times Bimbos I know have told me .. "I forgot to charge my iPhone and it's dead"

Occasionally, I plug my phone in at night and the cord slips out or the wall charger eeks out of the wall. Non removable and I'd be hosed.
