bootloader OR hard reset screen keep flickering

It's been 3 months since my last flash. I was tempted to flash udk's new r4 this evening. Then I found out that when I try to enter the bootloader screen or try to hard reset. The tricolor screen or the hard reset screen doesn't stay static. It keeps flickering. Hence I can't perform an upgrade or hard reset.

Does this occur to anyone else? Or is there a work around?

After you see the tri-colour screen when entering boot loader mode are you removing the stylus from the reset hole and keeping the camera button depressed?

Anyone solve this problem ??
