http://photo.stackexchange.com/quest...ve-any-meaning according to that site jpeg dpi is meaningless in the context of quality of the
jpeg so if its 72 96 300 quality is the same 72 is default in most devices

hey defcomg, when you are free could you try porting some of the setting from the p970(optimus black) camera to ours, ive tried this one out https://rapidshare.com/files/4186417356/ArcCamera.apk taken from the prada 3.4 rom for the optimus black. it picks up 5mp, but doesnt pick up any 3d at all, but it has extra settings in "shots", which we prob could use. However to get it working you have to first open the app "camera" and then "help", scroll down a bit , then go back and slide the gray bit on the right randomnly, after that the camera should work

renamed it to aArRcamera.apk to system/app opened it it works without needing to go into help, however the gamma seems to be out of wack black is actually grey however it supports all da options in tiCamera.xml even iso 800 work i adjust the brightness to lowest in a dark room with flash on picture quality quite good digital camera like with manual focus i think auto focus sometimes messes up the quality. i dont think its actualy the port

so the real question is, could this be an "alternative" camera to ours, only thing it doesnt pick up is 3d. Yeh i dont think its a port just a "modded" visual-wise , not performance wise.

hows the quality of photos after you changed a few settings??? and any luck with video recording??

Lightbulb Camera Mods; 16x9 2D; no sound

Hi,
I made small mod for 16:9 (2048x1152 or 2592x1458) photos in the TICameraCameraProperties.xml file.
This mod works on stock arccamera as 2D only:(
1. copy to system\etc\ (backup oryginal)
2. run camera 2D
3. choose 3M (2048x1536 use TICameraCameraProperties.zip ) or 5M (2592x1944 use TICameraCameraProperties_5M.zip )
4. switch to 3D and back to 2D then will be 16:9 preview
6. shot photo.

Before every restart I recommend stop Camera app in apps manager if not can be bootloop!
I have done backup CWM system. You too can to do.

edit:
Mod - removed stop & start sound recording:

When I want to take a picture, I see all colours really brillant, but when I take it the colours become lighter and more "died". Any solution for the stock camera app?
