DONATE TO ME
is it only me, or does the kernel has a huge impact on battery life?

My battery is discharging much faster lately even when in Idle.

I used to be able to sleep 8 hours without charging the phone and lose like 3 to 6% and now I am losing 30%/night

First you can flash v01a via fastboot
Fastboot flash boot kernel.elf

Good but what doo u mean by freezing exactly?
Bootloop at OS startup? Or finding the device randomly powered down? Or something else?

So #9003 gives THE EXACT same problem as on v02?

does #9007 include all the improvement found in the other test kernels??
Nope all versions are independent with different patches and are based on #9001

Check the first post on how to report battery draining issues...

If u don't have recovery yet u can flash v01a kernel using fastboot and then flash the kernel u want via recovery OR download TGE kernel u want to flash, open the zip file and extract the kernel.elf file from the kernel folder of the zip and then flash the kernel using fastboot... But in either case u will need to flash the new kernel package update.zip via recovery to get corresponding WiFi modules...

Yes, identical. On my Device #9003 is the only one that doesn't boot, the device get's into the main OS, then hangs and reboots as soon as 'Preparing Internal Storage' kicks in.

last_kmsg for #9003 reboot below

last_kmsg.txt

Edit: Just tested bootability of #9006 & #9007

#9006: Boots fine, no crashes switching between govs, SmartAssV2 gets stuck at max freq.
#9007: Boots fine, works perfectly.

(I'm reporting the SmartAssV2 getting stuck at max freq if it happens on a kernel for completeness, but do you really care about that at the moment?)

Thats good news...

Optimizing/tweaking the governors is of low priority.... The most important thing right now is to find the bug which is causing the device to go into bootloop when entering into the OS and then find out what's causing the power off on some devices (lets call this "dead-sleep" )...

I am myself testing #9001 right now and I haven't found the device in "dead-sleep"...

I tried all the test kernels yesterday and 9003 is the only kernel that freeze while booting like sixdaysandy said.
I kept 9004 and now aftet 7 hours it's working fine (only smartassv2 bug keep the cpu at higher freq).
