Here is my impressions with OXP:
1. The browser always force closes and force closes our apps too. In short, the browser is a RAM eater.
2. Mobile data doesn't work upon boot. However, when turning on airplane mode and turning off it again will make the mobile data connect but it goes on and off all the time, giving me a very hard time to surf the Internet.
3. Notification LED doesn't work.
4. Touch sound an haptic feedback on all touches doesn't work.
5. Screen lock sound doesn't work.
6. Squashi Input method works better on this ROM than in GB ROMs. No more stucked symbols input pad when reaching the top or bottom edges. It FCs on Browser though.
7. Battery percentage in notification bar works now but there is some issue with the clock (in the notification bar too) that freezes sometimes.
8. The Qualcomm Adreno libs really rocks the whole user experience, especially the Trebuchet launcher.
9. The screen goes berserk when a menu or window is shown up.
10. Brightness cannot be controlled.
11. Angry Birds Space is more responsive now after aeons of loading and ANRs. Temple Run doesn't working though.
12. I got 1642 on AnTuTu (245-768MHz, ONDEMAND). Right now, I'm using 320-748 MHz MINMAX. I really wonder why on Android, music playback is sometimes laggy while its not on other flatforms.
13. Root access and WiFi issues can be addressed by replacing the updater-script file with the ones on MiniCM9 3.0.0 for X8, as Davee suggests. Thanks mate!

There were more impressions but here are the most obvious. I really hope that fixes will come ASAP and a custom themer will tailor the Holo theme for our screen.

If I ever see such a post from you ever again, a simple apology just won't cut it.

And, regarding the subject of the argument, posts asking for ETAs are indeed annoying and frowned upon here.

Please proceed on topic.

Another set of impressions for OXP:
1. Another issue: battery statistics is not working.
2. A work-around to Browser: disable Force GPU rendering on Settings > System > Developer options > User interface. You'll get lower quality Trebuchet launcher though (but still not buggy as stable). Also, you will still encounter FCs of background applications but that's minimal.
3. As reported by some, this ROM has the best standby times. 55% when I went to sleep at 12AM and still 55% when I woke at 7AM.

That's all for now.

I CAN USE EVERYDAY, BUT YOU SHOULD DO FULL CWM BACKUP BEFORE YOU FLASH IT!

Working:

  • boot
  • GSM (phone/messages/GPRS/EDGE/3G)
  • Wifi
  • Bluetooth
  • HW acceleration (full)
  • Sound
  • Headphones
  • GPS
  • All sensors (proximity, roration etc)
  • CyanogenMod settings (not all, it's not fully merged by CyanogenMod team, not my fault)
  • Market (now you can download all apps available for Gio with GB)
  • Fixed animations (now it looks so good)
  • Facebook sync
  • Buttons backlight
  • BLN support
  • GMail fully works
  • Browser fully works
  • ICS keyboard
  • Games - works as smoothly as on Gingerbread
  • YouTube
  • Camera - only photos, without preview
  • Deep sleep
  • Wifi signal indicator
  • Native Android mass storage
  • Without flickering
  • Almost working HW video acceleration
  • Smooth YT (LQ right now)
  • Live Wallpapers
  • FM Radio - read the bottom of this post

maybe this would help!

Does Gio and Ace have the same camera... well, the hardware and software things... from our camera? I think we need to know that...

And I remember Paul said one day that he want to use things from other people the less possible. He does use nAa's kernel, because, I think, he isn't good with it. Same with some other things. Paul, please correct me if I said something wrong.'
