it's not the equivalent (1gb = 1024 mb, 890 is the available ram i'm assuming) but you have the 1gb ram version, so no worries.

My archos g9 80 1.2ghz 512mb ram and 250gb hdd SHOULD have 1.5ghz and 1gb ram.. its on the damn box where it was in and I even updated to ICS aka 4.0.5. I really wonder how archos does it.. they **** it up all the time, when I got my first 250gb model the screen was broken..

This is the box that i got and the software says it has 300 up to 1200 mhz.. im really confused, and the processor is a 4430 instead of 4460..

Take it back as it was mis-sold, the 4430 is a dual core 1Ghz model

Default Can I have some advice please.

Do you think it would be sensible to upgrade from an Archos 80 g9 250Gb 1.2Ghz 512Ram to the new Archos 80 G9 1.5ghz?

It will cost me $80US to trade it in for the new one, that's the shipping costs. Should I just buy a new one for $315US? Or should I just stick with the one I currently have?

If you want have ics then the 1 GB ram is needed. Ics doesnt work right / good with just 512mb ram.
