EU's KPI update goes fine and wifi works afterwords.

Then after CWM install it's not working. Repeated it more than once.

CleanROM has nothing to do with it. Point was that I'd live with it working, but I'd like to A) be rooted, and B) install CleanROM.

This kernel is for KPG firmware ONLY CleanROM is also based in KPG if I remember correctly. So your best bet is to downgrade to KPG Firmware and then install this CWM and CleanROM.

Also please note that Motafoca has released a CWM version for the KPI firmware at http://www.madteam.co/forum/developm...for-the-p1010/
Wether CleanROM runs well with KPI as base is a different issue and should be posted in CleanROM's thread to get better support.

Well, don't flash this if you are using DXKP5. Seems to have the wifi error issue with KPI ROMs.

Guys, has anyone tried flashing GAPPS which includes gtalk with video, after installing this? Does it work?

tried your patch and my p1010 is hardbricked
my fault i haven't read carefully this thread to check everything
but it would be nice if you could make a big warning on your post
with what versions of firmware your stuff works ... for the other suckers

For all those running the latest UK Gingerbread XXKPI and tried installing this CWM with root and broke your wifi or stuck w/ a brick or bootloop now, I have good news. I did the same thing and got mine fixed. Here's what I did.

Used ODIN to flash back to original Stock 2.3.6 Gingerbread.XXKPI

I had to catch mine in a bootloop while holding VOL down + Power button, once in the download screen Used Odin to flash the firmware putting it completely stock.

Then, went here,

They have a working version of CWM with root! Download the file, put your tab in Download mode again, flash the .TAR file in the PDA field of Odin, and Voila!

I just did all that, back to complete stock GB KPI, with CWM installed with confirmed root access, and working wifi. Also just performed a full nandroid backup and everything seems to be working perfectly now!

Hope this helps others that may be stuck. Also, I'm in the US, but I guess now my tab's pretty much a UK version. I also have the firmware file available if you need that.

How can I go about and go back to Stock 2.2 and remove CWM? (may sell the p1010)
I tried to use the method with Odin to go back to Froyo but the cwm seems to screw things up. I can actually load and boot back into froyo but it does not have the factory recovery screen (when you push Vol up and PWR button)
It still has remnants of the old cwm? (with some errors)
