Default Who Owns Your Files?

Before you get all excited about Google Drive, you might want to read this post:

http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-574...ncol;morePosts

This is from the post, quoting Google's terms of service:

"Your Content in our Services: When you upload or otherwise submit content to our Services, you give Google (and those we work with) a worldwide licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes that we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content.

"The rights that you grant in this licence are for the limited purpose of operating, promoting and improving our Services, and to develop new ones. This licence continues even if you stop using our Services (for example, for a business listing that you have added to Google Maps)."

Updated at 8 p.m. to clarify that the first sentence of the Google terms states: "You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in that content. In short, what belongs to you stays yours." For more on this topic, See Rafe Needlemen's FAQ.
If I'm not mistaken, this was already there when you posted, brucegil...

Thanks. No, I did not see that in the version I saw. But it makes more sense.

So after using it for about 10 minutes, I've uninstalled. I really don't like the fact that it converts your documents into Google Docs.
Current: Samsung Galaxy S III
Previous: HTC Vivid
Previous: Samsung Captivate

If you have a Captivate, I have a ROM for you: MaxQ and Sparko ROM

It doesn't have to convert your files into Google Doc format. I have a number of .pdf, .docx, and .xlsx files there no problem.

Edit: no idea what the hell was going on but nevermind that. It doesn't convert them.
