That's GREAT!! Keep a close eye on the screen though over the next couple of weeks, as some users have found their new Xperia S to be fine at first, then after a couple of weeks or so the tint starts to appear. By the way did you receive your new phone from Sony themselves?

Good news, seems like AB / AC phones are fine!

Some people with touch firmware "6" have yellow tints (only a few people), and generally what I've read so far is that touch firmware "6" screens are more yellow than "7" screens (with no yellow tints).

Hi I'm am about to buy this phone and Im worried about this issue cos offcourse i don't want to have it.. so i want to know how many chances are they that the one i bought is a faulty one? here it seems that almost everybody has it but thats understandable beacause all the people fre off issue wont report here.. i think sony has fixed their manufacturing process cause AB AC seems to be fine... i really like this phone please help me

expect 80% chance of returning the phone, best bet is to wait a few months or buy a different phone.

Sony wont care as long as people are buying.

they will start sweating and maybe fix the issue when people stop buying and their sales drop

I've got a 12w11 AAAB and got the yellow tint on the bottom of the screen, I've had the XS for close to a month now and noticed the yellow tint last weekend.

Going to exchange mine today.

I've got Touch Firmware 7 btw.

LOL, well it's kind of fun... cause you keep sending them back and forth... they should say more like "buy a sony and have fun while we will replace it until we can give you a good one"

I got my replacement from T-Mobile Netherlands.

Sony told them it's a known manufacturing fault.
And T-Mobile Netherlands has a policy that you can get your phone replaced within 2 months when you have manufacturing errors/fault
