Titanium Backup automatically installs to /data/app, not /system/app, so unless a full wipe is done, you'd have two copies installed ... I think i'll shy away from TB for now.
OI File manager has a built-in text editor.

Since this is CM, i'm gonna stay away from including SEMC framework. (CM is AOSP) and you are correct, there are lots of legal issues surrounding psxperia games and posting them online (Violation of Rule 6 of XDA Rules)
