512 split_bootimg.pl boot.img
513 mkdir ramdisk
514 cd ramdisk
515 gzip -dc ../boot.img-ramdisk.gz |cpio -i
→ modify what you want
516 cd ..
518 mkbootfs ramdisk | gzip > new.boot.img-ramdisk.gz
525 mkbootimg --kernel boot.img-kernel --base 0x13000000 --ramdisk new.boot.img-ramdisk.gz -o myboot.img

And also for the directions in customizing the initramfs. Are the scripts customized for Viewpad 7 or are the same for every Android image in every tablet? Asking this because AFAIK some devices need specific image decompiling/compiling tools (as Zt-180). If they are specific can anybody paste the url for these tools? I've been searching for theme (specific) but I didn't find anything, only generic ones.

hi i have a olive pad iam having this strange issue with it. when i plug it in to charge it is charging the battery fine. but once i remove it it still show only 1% charge. But works for hours...i have done a hrad reset of the device as well as cleared the cache...

Do you guys think i should clear the battery stats once and check.

But iam not able to install CWM on it it says flash_image not found in terminal imulator... please help.. Thnx

Can I use for non-ITE ViewPad7?

Download recovery image and save it in the root of your SD Card
Go to Terminal Emulator and type:

>su
>flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
>reboot recovery
