- I think , it's impossible if you want to add Music widget / controller to "multi-tasking menu"

- If you want music widget / controller add to "notification bar" , u need android 4.0 ics library to make it possible.

I'm almost 100% sure Sony would add this in 4.0 update. Samsung has done it with even their gingerbread roms, just need someone with the skills to do it. But I can wait.

yes, nothing is impossible, just dig in inside play store and look for widgetsoid,
once u downloaded it, open it and check Play/Pause,Previous and Next on sound tab, then go to advanced tab, check on Notification and Widget Invisible, plus u can customize the look of your notification widget on theme tab.

ps - for some reason (i dont know) the widget will not play/pause, next or previous, but once u hit the button, a popup will appear in order to response.
a
here is mine. Sorry for the screenshot (not yet root)

i think it is possible also with GB libs...
i remember Samsung did that also in Eclair roms...
you should modify SystemUI.apk and framework.jar, the same way it has been modified for adding "notification toggles", calling the fw methods called by the widget...

You should be root of course to do that...
