Hi All.

Please feel free to chastise me for posting this here. I have spent a few hours scratching my head and have been beaten.

have unlocked my friends wildfire s but cannot seem to get the thing rooted.

*** UNLOCKED ***
MARVEL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.08.0099
MICROPT-0451
RADIO-7.53.39.02M

everything seems to fail and cannot write to the phone...

htc super tool fails to chmod.

the only thing i screwed up was when i followed the unlock hboot i choose reboot with unlocking and cannot get the option to show again but it shows as unlocked..

what do i need to do to get this rooted..running on vodafone..

spill..

ps been more than a few hours..

Have a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1616326
Try flashing the clockworkmod recovery.img found here http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager using ashwin123's method. I just renamed the CWM file to recovery.img like on the vid to make it easier to type the cmd line.
