Oh I wasn't overly worried about it overheating. I was just surprised to see it reading such a LOW temperature.
Especially since it was running 30 degrees hotter on Sebastian's kernel and earlier Faux kernels. It's definitely colder than it was with other kernels, as judged by how hot it feels in my hand. It's not even comparable. Today is the first day since I've had the phone that the metal casing has been physically cold to the touch.
I ran the system stats code thing you suggested and it gave me the same results that my widget gives me. So I guess the temp is accurate.
I just found it strange that I can be in a 72 degree room all day and have the phone battery be 59 degrees. (Maybe it has low blood pressure... ) Plus it's all metal parts that bleed heat easily so I can see how it could be lower than ambient temps.
