GB 2.3.6 doesn't work?!

I proceeded exactly according to the instructions. However, I had no guava.odex that I could delete.

And then came this:

* daemon started successfully *
$ su
su
# stop
stop
# mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
# cp /sdcard/done_app/* /system/app/
cp /sdcard/done_app/* /system/app/
cp: not found
# cp /sdcard/done_frame/* /system/framework/
cp /sdcard/done_frame/* /system/framework/
cp: not found
# rm /system/app/*.odex
rm /system/app/*.odex
# rm /system/framework/*.odex
rm /system/framework/*.odex
# mount -o ro,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
mount -o ro,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
# reboot

now the phone hangs on boot screen and does nothing

For those that are stuck at the command line, this is what you need to do:

1. Download android sdk packages (look up on google) and extract them to
c:\AndroidSDK and then run the SDK Manager to install the packages.
2. With your phone connected and in pc mode, open up a cmd prompt on your computer.... i.e. click start, type cmd, click enter and a dos prompt should open up.
3. type cd\
4. type cd\AndroidSDK\tools\
5. Now type the commands

Hello,

I was able to get to \AndroidSDK\tools\ but my command prompt doesn't recognize adb shell as a command.

"adb is not recognized as an internal or external command" etc. Is there something I need to do, or some step I have missed?

I have searched and haven't found anything on-subject except for this thread. I am sorry if the answer is out there, but my googling and xda-searching have gotten me nowhere.

I am eternally grateful in advance for anyone who can help me! Thank you!

bro i have a doubt in mind..
i was unable to do this at first but after a lot of study i finally did it!!

what i wanted to ask is that how to deodex maps.apk and phonesky.apk coz i was unable to do these files.. if you have deodexed version can u please post them over here..

suppose if i deodexed an apk. afterwards i update it through android play store. Is it still deodexed? OR i have to deodex that particular file again? Is it really required?
