If you don't mind explaining, how exactly would one go about setting these permissions? I assume I would need a specific app to do so, correct?

Device : Nexus S GT-i9020a
ROM : PACman 22.0.1
Kernel : CM 3.0.50

Thanks. It seems I'm able to do that with ES File Explorer as well.

Woo! Worked like a charm. Phone app is back to normal, and it still kept the theme. Thank you kind sir, you are a scholar and a gentleman.
