If you just push the odex file it shouldnt overwrite your theming as odex is just java and no resources.

Very nice feature, thanks for the help Barnacles (and 'Don' Corleone.) I'm not quite as advanced as you guys so let me point out a few things as a help to those of us in this group, which, if wrong, will be edited out with your advice.

-If you're on a deodexed ROM you only need Barnacles' Settings.apk app. Should install automatically when opened (?), BUT do a nand first. Should be done after that.

-If on a odexed ROM (which I'm on) use only Settings.odex.zip file. Once downloaded, rename it to Settings.odex
-Do a nand backup and/or rename (or OK to delete) existing settings.odex file -- found in Systems/app --to settings.odex.old (for example.)
-Move new Settings.odex to Systems/app and reset permissions to rw-r--r--
-Reboot and you should be good to go.

Note: Stock ROMs, unless otherwise offered, such as sfhub's, are odexed.

Sorry for being a noob.

Question... never had this problem before, I tried putting this question in Q&A but am not getting the help I need. Ever since I flashed this rom I cant get wifi tether to work. I've tried a lot of things. Is this a known issue?

you should download wifi tether for root users. you then have to specify the phone as the nexus cdma phone and you should be good to go.

I have that app and I dont have the option for nexus cdma...

I dont have that on my phone right now but I believe it is under samsung galaxy nexus cdma

I just cleared cache and rebooted and uninstalled the wifi tether app. Now when I try to download it, it comes up as "error processing purchase" but its free?!

edit: I just re-flashed the rom and everything works fine now. DOH!
