I am now struck with some big questions???

If all of the good developers go away from SGR...then why the heck did I buy this device....????

Can anyone say... How many SGR users are here on XDA???
And, how many are really good developers...???

Samsung has started rolling out ICS update to less popular device i9100G Galaxy s2.
This brings in comparison to another less popular device Galaxy R. If samsung could roll ICS to i9100g then why not R ??

@vipul...

Google uses for ICS the TI OMAP CPUs as reference chip, which is used in the I9100g. Thatswhy it's way easier to get ICS to run on this device than on ours. We have Tegra2 in the R.

Actually gumsle reply is very good. Don't forget that Google's ICS flagship model - Galaxy Nexus is also run by the same TI OMAP processor (upgraded CPU but exactly the same GPU). We can say that ICS was originally written for this processor, and moreover Galaxy S2 i9100g although less popular and powerful but it's still officially S2.

I really miss my SGR, it doesn't get that hot like SGS2.

Come on guys quit the whining !

You should understand we don't have a flagship device and we will have to wait for the flagships to get them first then we'll get it.

SGR's distant cousin LG O2X (which is a flagship device) will also get ICS in Q3, so a humble request to wait & watch but if they don't update then you know where to get yourself heard.
