And very peeved that my backups went to internal SD and not external which means everything got wiped. So not worth a glitchy ics update

Oh and now the update in settings is saying poor network coverage?

What happens when you just let it boot?
It sounds like it is not seeing the update.zip file on your SD card.
The file needs to be in the root of the SD card.
I have never heard of a backup going to the internal SD something is wrong there.

The Acer servers are over loaded if you check you will see you can still acces the internet and everything else just not The update from Acer.

what happens when it just boots is as fresh as as a restored tablet is. I reconnected my wifi and on this site via my tablet since my laptops hard drive did the ticking of death last night bad luck weekend I tell ya so I don't need this acting up too

The triangle ! thing is the tablet not seeing the Update.zip file or you SD card is hosed
.
Make sure the update.zip is in the root of the card also you may want to format the SD card before you use it, not "quick format".

Alright finally got it after your idea I'm running ics now is it root able and how

Hey guys just wanted let you all know that I just finished the update and it went flawlessly.

I am in Ontario, Canada for those that might be still waiting for the May 3rd launch here.

Any questions regarding my upgrade, just ask. However, I simply followed the instructions.

Is bad wifi specific to this update or tablet in general? My laptop is fine but this either shows low or something.

Thanks guys...

Flashed this over the original 3.0.1 build Acer_A500_145.09_COM_GEN1 & it went ok.

Just a niggle: after the update, when it rebooted, it showed the Acer logo, rebooted again to the Acer logo & then a blank screen somewhere between dark blue & black in colour. Had to shut it down. Turned on & it booted up nicely into ICS, Android Upgrading & all.
