Well well, I updated to 2.11 and wifi works correctly with it... it wasn't only a kernel problem then. How stupid of me!

Same thing here, reboot solves it. I can also switch flight mode on/off a few times and then I can enable wifi, faster then rebooting.

I had that problem when using an old version of the ROM with the latest kernel update, when I update to latest ROM and kernel, it goes away... you better post logcat of this happening, I can't reproduce it anymore...

If wifi tethering still isn't working for you with update 2, delete the following file:

/data/misc/wifi/hostapd.conf

What will have happened is that a previous attempt at enabling wifi tethering will have copied the wrong defaults to that file.

About sdcard, now it's happening less frequently. However, musics/pics appear after boot but after some random time, they disappear...
But as I said, it's less frequent to happen now!

Just a question, what's that Wifi direct option? And what is it for?

Best regards

same problem here, looks like when the phone wake up after a deep sleep, it can not mount the sd immediately, running the 2.11a update2.

btw, wi-fi tethering is working after delete the file "hostapd.conf", thanks.

Hey dzo , tell me whether it is possible to return the selection of internal and external cards, as it was implemented on 32 kernel. Thank you for your good work.

I've come across a potential (interim) solution to this "music & pics are gone" issue. I've just updated to 2.11a v2 and have recently started encountering this bug.

It could have something to do with an android process called mediascannerservice. This is the function that locates the media files. I think that something happens to it (maybe during boot) and it fails to function - resulting in no files found.

I don't know why it happens, but, as a workaround, I've found that restarting the service fixes the problem (at least it did for me...)

The easiest way to do that is probably to use Aditya's Scan on Demand app.

It can be found on the forums at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=753294 with discussion at http://www.xda-developers.com/androi...-rescan-media/

and at the Play Store here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...z.mediascanner

YMMV - it worked for me
