I was running out of space, because I was running the scripts from the same folder as the .img , thus copying itself to phone memory.
Anyway I gave up on the .img way and tried the Fresh install on EXT4 Sdcard partition.
I have repartition my SD card like this:
fat32 primary 10gb
ext2 primary .5gb
ext4 primary 5gb.
On the fat32 partition i have /Android (my android build) and /scripts (unpacked attached scripts).
Ext2 is empty.
Ext4 has the .zip unpacked in root. looks like: /bin, /boot, /dev ....../var
Busybox is installed.
Started terminal and did the following:
su
cd /sdcard/scripts
sh mkcore
(mkcore output follows)
[1] Done id |
Segmentation fault cut -b 5
[: not found
-----
Creating directory structure
------
[: not found

==============================

LE: Looks like if the EXT4 partition is larger than 1GB it is not auto-mounted, so I did it manually:
mount -t ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p3 /sd-ext
I checked and the ext4 partition is mounted correctly.
then retried:
cd /sdcard/scripts
sh mkcore

(mkcore output follows)
-----

mkdir: cant create /data/linux: file exists

(no swap size choice?)

sh btgo

Getting monitor mode working is a long (maybe impossible) process for this chip set.

What needs to be done for it is patching the firmware with the monitor code, which requires ALOT of trial and error, some of which can burn out the chip.

Its one of my current projects (along with about 75 others lol) but to be honest, I haven't had much time to invest into it yet...

When I got some info or something to test, I'll post about it here (may be a long time though)

I have installed hyperdroid in nand and finally managed to install bt5 by following "1. Fresh install on EXT4 Sdcard Partition".
- Is this bt5 build, command line only ? Is there a GUI similar to Ubuntu for HD2?
- When I try running it as VNC , I get the following output:
'MySQL started.
You will require a password to access your desktops.
Password too short.'
What now? What am I missing? What is supposed to happen now?
Thanks.

it's supposed to prompt for a password when one isn't found, check that HOME=/root and it should be good.

25% of the time when im working on arm systems i get that error, for some reason that i havent been able to track down, vncpasswd will not accept input and just skip through. One other thing to try is to do (in backtrack) find ./ | grep .vnc and copy the passwd file to what your current home directory is
