Default [ROM][OTA][BETA](11/8/12)LeWaOS for Galaxy Player 4.0

I have ported LeWaOS to the Galaxy Player 4.0.
Everything is running very smoothly.
As base I used the third beta of CyanogenMod 7.2.0 from tdmcode.
LeWa OS is only in Chinese and English (I will add translations soon.).

Known issues:

Known issues of CM7:
  • Reboot into recovery does not work yet
  • Setup wizard doesn't run properly, just skip it
  • Bluetooth won't scan properly
  • External sdcard isn't mounted properly
  • Deep sleep is still disabled

New issues:
  • I could not test it

  3. Install Lewa OS.
  4. Reboot

Updating already installed LeWa OS
  • Go to CWM
  • Install the newer version
  • Wipe cache

Update to/Install LeWa OS beta

Note I don't have it set to automatically reboot into recovery yet, so you'll have to hold VOL+UP to get back into recovery in the new kernel. Note the strange looking initlogo -- I haven't figured out why the framebuffer format isn't correct. Just ignore it for now.

Aot this point, the system doesn't know whether the device is US or INTL because efs has not been restored. So the home key won't work on US devices. Use the menu key to select.

Now install the ROM again. This time it will restore the data directly on MTD/yaffs2 and do the actual install. When it's done, reboot. You should have a functional system and the home key should work on US devices again, since the efs data is now available again.

Finally, wipe data and cache.

For GApps on Alpha 1.0 and 1.1 install gapps.zip

New version is online.
Most bugs are fixed and the performance is significantly better.

Thanks, I'll try it soon.

Is the ROM as fast as stock ROM now? Or not yet?

I have tested the performance with a pair of benchmarks and there is even a little bit (just a bit) better than stock ROM.

I've uploaded version 1.2.
I've added a few tweaks in build.prop and init.d.
Even now GApps are included in the ROM.
I'm testing the translations.
I'm still trying to finish it this week.
No one wants to test the US version?

EDIT:
I've uploaded version 1.2.1.
Only a small change.

If you got a 1.2.1 for the US 4.0 I could try it out.
