I have seen much better battery life since going to BO. I am at 12% right now at more than 36 hours after getting off the charger. Oh, extended battery here.
Only got about 16-20 hours on. 1.3 gengervolt. Even less on 2.0. So, yes to doing the update.

Is there an option to turn off the write verify? I would try this if I was able to adjust that.

what scripts did you end up running and with what options?

the zip align, drop, sqlite optimize, and touchscreen looked promising, as well as the remount, but i'm not sure which remount option to go with...

All i did was download thunderbolt and flashed it. Nothing else but phone seems awesome so far. I didnt get into all the scripts.....yet

don't worry guys, went to the google play store online and was able to get it pushed ota to my phone. don't know why the store on my phone said it wasn't compatible, but the online store had no such hang ups.

so all is well. crisis averted.
