The hardware is the same I think, but the amaze camera auto focuses, has face detection, etc. As for the actual image quality, neither are any worse than the other as far as I could tell back when I was on gingerbread.

I don't get lag watching YouTube videos, I do however experience an issue where videos pause unexpectedly.

GB camera seemed better,especially with flash.
No lag whatsoever for videos for me.nice so far,but as to.y mo.tana would say,"IS this it.this what its all about?"no big deal yet.

i used to have the mytouch 4g and i rooted that phone with ease, i am not too versed with this phone, i have had it since it was release last October, but i desperately need it rooted.. please advise me the best way to the most current ICS on it please.. which root process is the best, and where do i get the most recent ROM.. also, does this ROM have sense 4.0? is it the exact version t mobile is planning to release?? thanks for all the help!

How do I flash a bog-standard, plain vanilla Amaze 4G? No unlocked bootloader, no root, no S-OFF. This is a virgin phone that hasn't been modded in ANY way, except for a custom launcher and the usual assortment of apps. Furthermore, at this point I don't want root, S-OFF or an unlocked bootloader. I just want ICS on my phone. Since this is an official ROM, it should be simple, right? Unfortunately after sifting through this thread for a couple of hours I'm not seeing it.

I've placed the PH85IMG.zip file in the root of my external SD card. From my reading it seems I need to get to HBOOT. Holding down Power+Volume Down to boot the phone doesn't get me anywhere special. Where am I going wrong?
