Hey guys, Im on stock GB rom, ziggys custom kernal. S-on/unlocked. I plan on doing the new S-Off procedure today. NOw that we have the ability to revert back to lower firmware Im going to take the plunge and update to the newest Leaked ICS firmware. I DO NOT want to install an ICS rom on the GB firmware. I would like to upgrade everything including firmware, radios, etc. Which of the files in the OP do I want to use? And what is the procedure?

I plan on updating to the newest stock ICS leak. Then rerooting and reflashing recovery. But how do I go about that? I think I have confused myself by reading too much....

Also, what are the differences in the hboots? Thats a bit confusing to me. Do I want the one from the s-off procedure? JB's or stock?

No, just flash one of the ones with the JB hboot in the Op
This is if you want juopunutbear at the top of the hboot instead of tampered

All in all I suggest if everything is working fine for y'all then just find one you like and stick with it
Jumping hboot/radios always carries the risk of bricking so keep that in mind

Ok, I did the s-off and chose to install JB's hboot. I was on GB firmwares. I am now updating to the newest stock ICS leak from AP. I noticed that that updated my hboot to 2.25. My question is this. Do I now need to reflash JB's hboot so I can have access to the enhanced fastboot commands and all that? Or does the stock hboot that comes with this leak support those?

If you want the extended commands then flash the orig ics firmware, the only difference with the new leak is the hboot anyway

Is that something that is worth doing? Basically I just want the ability to flash roms solely within custom recovery instead of having to mess around with manual hboot procedures.

Also, Im assuming flashing the orig ics firmware is done the same way I flashed this newest version? Lastly, what is the build number of the "orig" ics firmware so I can find the ruu download?

If you use fastboot a lot then yes otherwise this isn't worth it to be honest
So I would just suggest staying on the new hboot

When you do the orig you have to follow the first set of instructions in the OP as it needs to be wiped in the process
I don't have the build number, you should be able to search and find it

Ok, I just decided to stick with the stock hboot. I then ran the one click perm root script and that worked. Then I did adb reboot bootloader. Then I ran adb fastboot flash recovery recovery.img to install AR's 3.15 custom recovery. but its failing with this:

Writing 'recovery' ... FAILED (remote: not allowed)

IM reading that this is because Im not on the Eng Hboot or JB Hboot. But if those arent possible to have on the newest ICS Leaked RUU..... How am I going to get custom recovery back?
