Default [Q] Where is the light sensor?

Just wondering where the light sensor is? When I have it on automatic the light doesn't seem to stay the same brightness. My assumption is that I'm covering the sensor by accident but I can't find it. I'm sure I'm missing something simple.

If you look next to the camera under solar conditions and at a certain angle, you'll see it to the left.
Own a Galaxy Tab 10.1 running CM10 and a Galaxy S3 running stock T-Mobile Jelly Bean 4.1.1.

Thanks! I think I see where it is but my hand never goes over it (if it's across the top like I think your description says. I may just find a light level I like and lock it. The periodic fading and brightening is starting to make me crazy...

When lights are fading around me, I just lie down and go to sleep. But fun aside: I have noticed that some P7510's are more agressive in the auto-levels than others. There should be a few (5-10) seconds delay before the level-handler kicks in.
Indeed, as jdto mentiones, if it bothers you, just switch the auto off.
"Simple comme bonjour" as the french would say.

The periodic fading may be caused by the "Auto adjust power" in Settings - Display. You could always uncheck this option and turn on auto brightness, this is what I have done.
