Plus, if there are no wakelock permission in the version I am using, why am I seeing them in the screenshot? Or is that something else that I am misinterpreting?

you're looking at alarms, not wakelocks. they are not the same thing. an alarm is something that an app can set to wake up the phone at a given time in the future. when you have lock delay enabled in UWW, it sets an alarm when you turn your screen off. if your lock delay is set to 30 seconds, UWW sets an alarm to wake the phone 30 seconds after you turn the screen off, so that UWW can lock it. while the alarm is set, the phone is not awake. the phone only briefly wakes up when the alarm goes off, and UWW locks the phone. i'm not going to go into a full explanation of alarms vs wakelocks, but if you want to know more, you can google it.

I think I got enough from you without additional detail. Seriously, thanks for the explanation.

Seeing as how GJ no longer offers the gold program, is it safe to assume the version I am using won't get any more updates?

Come on, i need an answer.
Two updates and still not on amazon.

I'm sorry but the developer stopped development on this app. I wish somebody else would take over his work to add unlock with BT

sorry, xda isn't reliable about sending me email notifications for this thread for some reason. i didn't get a notification for your post.

if the version from amazon is working for you, then you are not missing anything. there have been no new features added for quite some time. only bug fixes, and if you're not experiencing a bug, then you're not missing out on anything at all.

i haven't been updating amazon because their process is a pain in the a**, and their rules are draconian. i should probably just pull the app from their store.
