3 Options to install.

First step: Simply rename "Streak_Bios_bootanimation.zip" to "bootanimation.zip"

1. ADB
Navigate to the folder containing "bootanimation.zip" in terminal/command prompt.
Type the following

adb push bootanimation.zip /Data/Local

Then to test, set your device so display is in landscape (will not display properly if you have it on portrait and test it but will display fine either way on boot)

adb shell bootanimation

2. Root Explorer
Copy "bootanimation.zip" to your SD card
On your Streak open up Root Explorer (or any other app that allows you to copy paste to the internal memory)
Copy "bootanimation.zip" and paste it to /Data/Local

3. Terminal Emulator
thanks nickshertzer, his directions are for drop box but can easily be manipulated for simply copying the bootanimation.zip to your SDcard

Slowed down to 10 FPS and edited the 2nd part which loops until device boots

TRACKBALL replaced with VOLUME UP

Also the bootanimation is not in data/local rather it is in system/media instead on my dell streak 2.2 stock. Will it work on 2.2

You are correct about location & yes it will work on stock 2.2
Don't forget to rename original first to something like bootanimation.zip.orig just incase you want to revert back

the bootanimation.zip is located in both, data/local and sysyem/media but if you place a bootanimation.zip in both of them, the one in data/local over rides the one in system/media.

So my directions are to place the bootanimation.zip file in data/local is there for those that don't have a proper backup of the original/stock boot screen and/or for those that mess up the bootanimation.zip and want to easily revert/undo the changes.
