Atleast you guys got that far. Im stuck at the place where the sotware asks for my phone. my computer cant recognize my phone so it cant flash. Im sleepy, ive rooted and flash roms on 8 different android phones over the last year and this one has been the most annoying. sticking with regular At&t update until root is available and i can flash CWm and rom. Im getting too old to be staying up all night

Good news! ... sort of.

After trying for 12 hours to flash V10F_00.kdz, I gave up.

I found V10i_00.kdz from here:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6v5jxci6m.../AT%26T%20P930

It finally flashed! (Though it got stuck at 90something percetn)

Battery pull, and it booted!

Now I'm trying to get root so that I can install CWM again and restore CM9 backup...

Edit: couldn't root the V10i_00.kdz rom so I was forced to try flashing the V10F again. Decided to flash the one from the dropbox link and guess what, it WORKED. The file is the same size as the one posted in this guide on page 1.

HOWEVER, I'm starting to wonder if it worked because the file name is shorter. V10F_00.kdz vs "LG-SU640-V10F_00.kdz"

Flyview, I had success with the first method (for flashing the V10F version), but it seemed random how it worked. I was just trying different things at one point, then I started over, (I followed Machzelet's steps, and tried doing some other things) and then it worked. I wonder if the flashing tool is unstable or the shttp server program is not set up exactly for this procedure, but it does somehow work. I also renamed it to V10F_00.kdz. I was thinking that the KDZ file I downloaded was corrupted and was downloading it again when I noticed the phone was booting.
Machzelet is right, the tool never says it's finished but the phone will be flashed at some point in the process and it will restart then you will have to force close the flashing tool.

Thank you Machzelet for helping me flash my phone!

I attached some pictures to motivate frustrated people.

I think that may be the trick. I tried all day on like 6 computers with the other file name and it always errored out the same way. If that is indeed the problem, it should be made clear on the first page! If it wasn't 2:30am when it finally flashed, I would have changed the file name and tried again to see if it failed.

Flyview, I am glad it finally worked out for you. Also, I agree on what you said in the CM9 nightly thread. This slowdown issue is a serious concern. My phone was unusable and if I didn't have a backup phone(iPhone 3gs) I would have been un-contactable for awhile. The problem has to be beyond the System partition, which I believe is the only one touched during a CWM flash. Is CWM doing something it shouldn't be?

EDIT:

By the way, I had the download failed error AFTER I changed the file name of the KDZ to something shorter. I actually thought that could have been the issue. Maybe that file you got from the dropbox link is actually a different KDZ.

You can't use that in Home Premium version of Windows 7.

Does anyone have a solution for this. I've read this entire thread. I'm trying to get back to stock so I can get back to pre April update which seems to have blocked all ways to root this phone. Ultimate goal is ICS from CM9.

I get this at 4%. I've done this like 20 times and everything is setup correctly. Anyone know how to get around this? Pulling my hair out. Thanks.

PS: Orrrrr they could just release ICS. F'ers

UPDATE: I just realized it only boots to download mode now. This gets better and better. Anyone know how to fix that? Thanks.
