probably the easiest way is either searching for the exact battery model (eg for me it's BB99100) or also putting "Nexus One" into the search bar, which has the same battery specs (correct me if I'm wrong)

After testing some of the batteries that are obtainable through the internet, I believe that Mugen Power offers the best product, not just for Desire, but for other mobile and non-mobile devices as well.

mugen-power-batteries.com/htc/htc-desire/mugen-power-extended-battery-for-for-htc-desire-htc-bravo-htc-a8181-htc-epic-t-mobile-htc-desire-vodafone-htc-desire-1600mah

The price seems to be OK, however if you are from other parts of the world except USA you'll probably end up paying twice as much (shipping costs).

However if I'm going to play around with it, wifi and such, hardly lasts a day. It drains really fast when using Internet.

I've checked a few batteries online (ebay and such) but I find mostly for Desire *something*, not the desire itself.

How do you guys filter the results on ebay to find stuff only for the HTC desire model? Without the HD, S, yada yada?
Man which rom are you using? Are you rooted? Tell us some specifications. I would be happy as horse to have a desire whicht lasts 2 days

And a reply to the mugen batteries, it seems to me that the shipping to Europe is free! So dont be affraid order this (proclaimed) good battery. I dont have so much money, i will probably choose the german solution.(PolarCell)

after testing my new battery out for quite some time now, I have to say, that it lasts significantly longer than the "old" one. I get through one whole day, with 3G always on, easily....

It seems there is no polarized opinion about what is the nicest battery with the best quality/price rate. Many are going for the Mugen option because it has most positive feedback, some are preferring the PolarCell because it would provide comparable performance without being pricey and most are buying Chinese crap 'cause they have no idea about the existence of this thread.

Well I've read a couple discussions here and there and made a conclusion for myself: if there is an option for a battery that's maybe a little less durable than the stock or Mugen ones, but costs much less, I don't see why I should pay an enormous difference to have 30 more minutes worth of wifi.

I'll will go for the PolarCell and will get back after I receive it and test it a bit.
htc desire pvt3 | Runny ROM V6.1.1 [GB v2.3.5] | 4EXT v2.1.1b | Radio 5.17.05.23 | hboot: CM7r2 | Twittorz
Switched radio back to 5.17.05.23. Performance and battery life seem optimal. Need help? Read THIS before asking around.

FYI: Battery technology has practically not advanced in the last 4-5 years.

Meaning, if the original HTC battery could squeeze out 1300mAh, you are not going to get a 3rd party battery with anything over 1500mAh. If they try selling it to you, you know right away they are lying.

Cheap 3rd party batteries can be good, but do expect faster capacity degradation and problems with interfacing with the mobile (e.g. reported capacity/voltage/... incorrect, etc...). Just use common sense and check the reviews before buying.

Hello all ..

I wanted to ask about Mugen Power batteryies; the ones with 3000+mAh and the extra back cover .. has anyone tried them ?
I mean, do they deliver as promised? do they keep at the same pace as new for a long time .. or do they die fast .. ?

also, there are some other batteries like this one .. is it the same as Mugen .. or way worse, given the price tag ?

thanks
