It could be a hardware issue too. You could have a bad battery or cable too.

Do you know if the only reason we have to S off to downgrade is because the official OTA ICS hasn't come out yet or it's just something that has to be done, I'll try installing a custom rom since I'm at it, something with wifi tether, I need that badly

See this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1635132. I havent gone back to gb from ics myself. I am not sure why s off is needed to go back. I think its becuase s off allows you to install different hboots (which is risky so be careful, always check md5 on your files). If your device loses hboot it will not boot I believe.

S off locked gives you total access to devices, kernel, hboot, splash screen, etc.

S on, but unlocked doesnt let you mess with hboot, which makes the device hard to brick. But also harder to go back to older firware.

Wifi tether works in Rez Rom 3.4 and others i'm sure. I have only tested it in that rom.

You need to have correct settings set in tether.
Device profile is cdma galaxy nexus cdma (even though you are using a rezound)
Setup method is Netd
Enable routing fix

S on will not let you downgrade firmware or radios, even unlocked. If all you need is WiFi tether, you only need to unlock and install a custom Rom. Lots of options there. It is a little easier in Scott's ICS roms than the GB one as it works out of the box without flashing other fixes first. I haven't tried other GB roms.

For wifi tether, you only need to be rooted and set up as Device=Samsung Galaxy Nexus (CDMA/LTE), Routing fix checked. And on most of the sence 4 roms, I think you have to set Device Setup Method=NETD (Master).
A custom rom is not required, as long as its rooted, GB or ICS.
I have used wifi tether with every rom made for the rezound.
Scott has some stock rooted roms on his site which make it easier if you want to stay stock.

try a wipe from HBOOT or try reflashing the RUU again. Also pull and reinsert your sim card.

Current Phone: Galaxy S3 16GB White on VZW
Current ROM: AOKP JB Build 4

Default S on, Want to go to new leak

I am pretty much a noob at this stuff. I am currently running IvySaur 2.0 (or 1.0)
with my phone unlocked but S-on (don't quite understand the S off directions yet)

What steps do I need to take to download the new leak? I really want the new radios.

Do I have to re-lock my phone, then download the new leak, unlock it again, re install Recovery and reflash Ivysaur again?

Should I wait for the official before I do all of this?

I appreciate all the help.

Another thing... if there is anybody in Woodbridge or Dumfries, Virginia that knows how to S-Off my phone I will pay you for your time and efforts.

Thanks again.
